Music to focus and unwind
Music for concentrating, or for slowing down, has one job: stay steady and stay out of the way. Find the page for what you're doing, or describe the mood here.
This is an example. Describe your own above and it comes like this too: solo a part, redo one, download them, or edit it in Studio.
Your songs
Songs made here
Made from these words on this page, each with its stems. Move a level, or press M or S, to hear a part on its own.
How it works
- Pick a page, or describe it here. Each page above is the same generator, set up for one use with its own ideas. Or start from an idea under the box.
- Pick the shape. Tempo, key, length, or a seamless loop. Or leave them on Auto.
- Get your track with its stems. Play it, download the mix or the stems, or open it in Studio to change the parts.
Steady is the whole point
Music for concentration, sleep or a slow yoga class works when nothing in it asks for attention. That's mostly about what you leave out, so say it in the description:
- No build: "same energy throughout", "no drops", "no swell".
- No busy lead: chords, pads and a soft pulse are enough.
- Space: "notes far apart", "lots of silence".
Every track here is instrumental, so there are no words to follow.
Pick the pace for what you're doing
A fixed tempo keeps a long session even. Slow and unhurried, around 60 to 75 BPM, suits reading, writing and falling asleep. Around 75 to 90 suits most work. A little faster, 90 to 110, keeps repetitive tasks moving. For meditation and sleep, ask for no rhythm at all. Each page here starts from the right pace for its use.
Hours without a gap
Seamless loop is on here: each track ends exactly where it begins, so a player set to repeat can run it all night with no click and no fade. Make a few loops in the same key and tempo and they'll play back to back without a jolt. Every track also comes as five stems, so you can drop the drums for a softer version or keep only the pads for sleep.
Questions
Can I play it for a class or a session I run?
Every track is royalty-free for commercial use on every plan. For anything beyond that, see the full terms at daydream.live/terms.
What should I ask for to fall asleep to?
Ask for no rhythm, deep soft pads and very slow changes, and set it to loop. Leave out anything with a clear melody so there's nothing to follow.
Can a loop play for hours?
Yes. With Seamless loop on, a track ends exactly where it begins, so a player set to repeat can run it all night without a jump or a click.
How much does it cost?
5 songs a month are free with a Daydream account, and 5¢ a song after that, in credit packs from $3 (60 songs), the API included. Credits never run out at the end of the month, and any pack is unlimited downloads, WAV and stems. A song is one description, and each comes with its stems.
Can I use the music in a commercial game or video?
Yes. Every song is royalty-free on every plan, Free included: use it in commercial games, videos, streams, podcasts and apps.
Can I use it in Claude or ChatGPT?
Yes. Add https://gen.daydream.live/mcp as a custom connector in Claude, or as a custom MCP server in ChatGPT, or add the Daydream app from ChatGPT's directory, and sign in with your Daydream account. Then describe a song in the chat: it plays there with its stems in their own lanes, and if you ask for new drums it makes that part again with the other four as they are. It spends the same credits as this page, 5 a song. How to add it.
