Music for videos

A vlog, a wedding film, a stream and a podcast each need something different from their music. Find the page for yours, or describe the video here.

This is an example. Describe your own above and it comes like this too: solo a part, redo one, download them, or edit it in Studio.

Songs made here

Made from these words on this page, each with its stems. Move a level, or press M or S, to hear a part on its own.

How it works

  1. Pick a page, or describe it here. Each page above is the same generator, set up for one use with its own ideas. Or start from an idea under the box.
  2. Pick the shape. Tempo, key, length, or a seamless loop. Or leave them on Auto.
  3. Get your track with its stems. Play it, download the mix or the stems, or open it in Studio to change the parts.

Start from where it's posted

Where a video goes changes what its music has to do. A YouTube video needs a bed that sits under a voice for ten minutes. A Short or a Reel has a second or two to hook someone, so its music starts on the beat with no intro. A stream needs loops that run for hours. A podcast needs an intro with a clear ending and a quiet bed to talk over. Each page here is set up for one of those, with ideas that fit.

Then from what it's about

A wedding film builds from the vows to the party. A travel video wants room for wide shots and a steady groove for walking through a market. Pick the page for your kind of video and start from its ideas, or describe the scene here: the place, the pace, how it should feel.

Make room for the voice

Background music works when nobody notices it under the words. Ask for what that takes: "steady", "no lead melody", "same energy all the way through". Every track comes as five stems (drums, bass, guitar, keys and other), so if something still competes with the voice, mute it in your editor and keep the rest. Bring the drums back for the outro.

Pick a length that fits the cut, from 30 seconds to two minutes, or turn on Seamless loop and let it run under the whole edit.

Questions

What length should I pick for a Short or a Reel?

Thirty seconds is enough for most. Ask for a track that starts on the hook, with no intro, so the first second already sounds like something.

Can I use one track across a whole series?

Yes. Make a theme once and use it in every episode, or make a few in the same key and tempo so they swap without a jump.

Will the music get my video claimed?

Each track is made when you ask for it, from your own words, and it's royalty-free for commercial use. It isn't taken from a stock library.

How much does it cost?

5 songs a month are free with a Daydream account, and 5¢ a song after that, in credit packs from $3 (60 songs), the API included. Credits never run out at the end of the month, and any pack is unlimited downloads, WAV and stems. A song is one description, and each comes with its stems.

Can I use the music in a commercial game or video?

Yes. Every song is royalty-free on every plan, Free included: use it in commercial games, videos, streams, podcasts and apps.

Can I use it in Claude or ChatGPT?

Yes. Add https://gen.daydream.live/mcp as a custom connector in Claude, or as a custom MCP server in ChatGPT, or add the Daydream app from ChatGPT's directory, and sign in with your Daydream account. Then describe a song in the chat: it plays there with its stems in their own lanes, and if you ask for new drums it makes that part again with the other four as they are. It spends the same credits as this page, 5 a song. How to add it.
