Songs made here

Made from these words on this page, each with its stems. Move a level, or press M or S, to hear a part on its own.

How it works

  1. Start from the words in the box. "a high-energy racing loop with fast breakbeat drums, a driving bassline and a bright synth lead". Change any of them, or pick an idea under the box.
  2. Pick the shape. Seamless loop is on, for music that repeats without a click. Pick a tempo, a key and a length, or leave them on Auto.
  3. Get your track with its stems. Play it, download the mix or the stems, or open it in Studio to change the parts.

Fast, steady, and heard over engines

Racing music has one job: make the player feel the speed. Set a high tempo by hand and keep it steady, because a race is no place for a slow bridge. Then pick a style that suits the cars.

  • Street racing: breakbeat drums, a driving bass, a bright synth lead.
  • Rally and off-road: rock drums and overdriven guitar riffs.
  • Futuristic: hard electronic drums, rolling sub bass, stabbing synths.
  • Kart racing: bouncy bass, brass stabs and a happy melody.

Engines fill the low end and tyres fill the top, so a strong mid-range riff or lead cuts through better than more bass.

A lap is a loop

A race lasts as long as it lasts: three laps or ten, a lead or a crash. Turn on Seamless loop and the track runs for any number of laps without a seam. Loops end in whole bars, so you can switch tracks on a bar line when something changes.

Every track comes as five stems (drums, bass, guitar, keys and other). Hold back the drums and bass for the opening lap and bring them in for the final one, or switch to a faster track in the same key when the last lap starts.

Garage, grid and results

The race isn't the only music. The garage and car select screens want a relaxed loop, the starting grid a short build, and the results screen a calmer cue. Make them all at related tempos and in one key so the soundtrack feels like one album. For a neon, retro feel, see the synthwave music page.

Questions

Should each track in my game have its own music?

If you have the budget, yes: one loop per track makes each one memorable. Otherwise, make a set of loops in one style and shuffle them, as a radio does.

How do I build a countdown into the race start?

Make a short build with Seamless loop off for the grid, timed to your countdown, in the race loop's key. Start the loop on the bar after GO.

How do I make the last lap feel faster?

Make a second track in the same key at a higher tempo and switch to it on a bar line when the last lap starts. Or keep one track and add the drums and bass stems only for the final lap.

Can I use the music in a commercial game or video?

Yes. Every song is royalty-free on every plan, Free included: use it in commercial games, videos, streams, podcasts and apps.

Can I use it in Claude or ChatGPT?

Yes. Add https://gen.daydream.live/mcp as a custom connector in Claude, or as a custom MCP server in ChatGPT, or add the Daydream app from ChatGPT's directory, and sign in with your Daydream account. Then describe a song in the chat: it plays there with its stems in their own lanes, and if you ask for new drums it makes that part again with the other four as they are. It spends the same credits as this page, 5 a song. How to add it.
